Video Game Sound Design Demos:

Bill Wolford is a veteran sound artist, having begun doing game audio from the early days of Microsoft CD Roms and online games to AAA titles for Playstation and XBOX. He is fully experience in the entire audio pipeline from asset creation to asset implementation working with 3rd party software and programmers to get stunning sound design.

  1. Shinobi 3DS Cutscene 1: I created sound design, performed foley, edited music and mixed cutscenes as well as all in-game sound and implementation using Fmod. Music is by Norihiko Hibino.

  5. Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines PSP: Actual in-game audio implemented using FMOD, MAYA, and Proprietary software. I was audio lead responsible for all sound design, mixing, recording, music editing and implementation.
  6. X-Men Origins - Wolverine Intro Gamplay: Actual in-game audio implemented using FMOD, MAYA, and Proprietary software. I was audio lead responsible for all sound design, mixing, recording, music editing and implementation.
  7. X-Men Origins Wolverine Psp Gameplay Mine recon level: Actual in-game audio implemented using FMOD, MAYA, and Proprietary software. I was audio lead responsible for all sound design, mixing, recording, music editing and implementation.
  8. Car Kicker, 6. VillianMenace, 7. MotorCycle, 8. HeroNavigation, 9. Danger Train Crossing: Samples of Sound Design synch to video. This segment is part of an early demo for the game Infamous. Some foley mixed with sound library effects using Pro Tools and Sound Forge.

  11. Sly3- Honor Among Theives Opening: Actual in-game audio (sans music) of Sly 3. I was audio lead and responsible for all audio duties, implementation, foley, sound design and music selection and editing.
  12. Sly 3 Dogfight Level: Two player gameplay of Sly 3 dogfight. Accomplishing realistic airplane battle sfx was challenging on the PS2.
  13. Sly 3 Duel: Splitscreen sample of two player gameplay in SLy 3.
  14. SLY3 UserInterface: Short sample of User Interface menu option sounds in Sly 3. I mimicked the tune of the main Sly Theme using interactive audio elements to create a cohesive useri Interface experience.
  15. Sly 2- Band of Thieves Final Boss: Sly 2 Boss Battle. I performed all audio duties on this game except VO recording. This title was nominated for best sound design by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.
  16. Sly2 Canada Train: Sly 2 Canada. (sans music). I was particularly happy with the train SFX in this level as it was created using granular sound (small pieces of individual sound effects) to give it a more realisitc random sound rather than a static loop. This title was nominated for best sound design by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences
  17. Sly 2 India Interior: Sly 2 India Interior (sans music). I performed all audio duties on this game except VO recording. This title was nominated for best sound design by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences
  18. Sly 2 India Exterior: Sly 2 India Exterior (sans music). I performed all audio duties on this game except VO recording. This title was nominated for best sound design by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences
  19. Sly 3 - Dimitri's Greasy Sweet Remix: I took elements from the in-game music and dialog and re-mixed and recorded a new theme for Dimitri one of the main villains in Sly 3 : Honor Among Theives. The video was done to the music.
